Position Title: Directory Services Administrator

 

Reports to: Directory Services Manager

 

Location: Colorado, Springs, CO

 

Job Summary:

 

The Directory Services
Administrator is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the Active
Directory (AD) environment for the 561st Network Operations Squadron customer
base. Key services that are maintained and managed locally or remotely are:
Active Directory, Anti-Virus, File, Print, Backup/Restore capabilities, Domain
Name System (DNS), and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). The System
Administrator also maintains a COOP site that provides Active Directory
failover, backups, and Remedy ticketing services in the event of a primary site
failure.

 

· Perform Windows 2003
(or later) AD services in accordance with 561st Network Operations Squadron
(NOS) enterprise network Systems Security Policy.

 

· Provide AD services
remotely to organizations throughout the 561st AOR.

 

· Configure and manage
root domain, child domains, organization units and objects.

 

· Advise the government
on appropriate AD policies.

 

· Implement all
government approved AD policies.

 

· Troubleshoot and
resolve Group Policy Object (GPO) application problems for the enterprise.

 

· Monitor and identify
replication interruptions between root and child domain controllers.

 

· Ensure every domain
controller in the forest has properly configured Internet Protocol Security
(IPSEC) policies, ensuring security and reliability.

 

· Provide technical
support to subordinate administrators.

 

· Provide hands-on and
remote administration of other equipment not specifically identified.

 

· Install and manage
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems and certificates.

 

· Support and maintain a
backup solution, currently CommVault.

 

· Ensure the KVM user
access database is current.

 

· Norton Antivirus
Corporate Edition administration and troubleshooting for all desktops and
servers.

 

· Other duties as
required that relate to the 561st NOS.

 

Working hours: Shift flexibility mandatory.

 

Requirements:

 

· MCSA certification

 

· Candidates must
possess an active DoD security
clearance.

 

· Candidates must successfully
pass a Drug Test.

 

· B.S. in computer
science or related field or High School graduate with 7 years of experience in
network administration.

 

· Pass government issued
IQT test.

 

· Obtain Sec +
certification within 90 days of employment.

 

 

Experience with the
following is mandatory:

 

· Familiarity with all
aspects of performing system administration duties in an Enterprise level IT
environment.

 

· Windows Internet
Naming Service (WINS).

 

· Domain Name Service
(DNS).

 

· Dynamic Host
Configuration Protocol (DHCP).

 

· Windows 2003 (or
later) with Active Directory (AD).

 

· Internet Protocol
Security (IPSec).

 

· Master/Resource
Domain.

 

· Terminal service
design/administration/maintenance.

 

· Server
hardware/OS/software configuration.

 

· Remedy.

 

· SCCM.

 

Experience with the
following is desired:

 

· DMA/AMHS experience.

 

· Microsoft windows
server clustering.

 

· Enterprise backup
solutions.

 

· PKI.

 

· Server virtualization
technologies, specifically VMWare ESX 3.5.

 

· CISSP is a plus.

 

· Familiarity with AF
Networks and the CITS NO/IA Architecture.
