XUI is a lightweight (probably the smallest – 4.1kb gzipped) JavaScript framework for building HTML5 mobile web applications.

It is not a feature-rich mobile framework that covers any possible scenario but can be enough for many applications considering mobile apps are usually about lists and forms.

The framework has a plain, familiar and chaining syntax + comes with targeted builds for WebKit, IE Mobile and BlackBerry.

Besides the base file (base.js) that includes the essentials  for dom node retrieval, it has 5 other .JS files for dom manipulation, events, animation, styling and Ajax support.

XUI is also modular and there are already few ready-to-use plugins.
