An Instant & Feature-Rich Admin Interface For CodeIgniter-Based Apps – Bonfire Posted: 12 May 2011 02:11 AM PDT CodeIgniter is a powerful framework for creating PHP web apps much faster. Bonfire, a solid base for the framework, makes the process even speedier. It is a set of tools (like a ready-to-use user management system, e-mail queue, database backup), all built inside an elegant and customizable UI. The codebase is completely modular and built around HMVC (Hierarchical-Model-View-Controller pattern). Bonfire has a flexible template/theme system which is capable of WordPress-like parent/child themes. Also, it comes with several other handy features like extending the CodeIgniter profiler. Flexible Navigation Model For Web Apps: Kaiten Posted: 11 May 2011 12:28 PM PDT Kaiten is an impressive jQuery plugin for creating a flexible, simplistic and powerful browsing experience. It helps quickly-building a column-based interface where each column can be a part of a sequence (like a breadcrumb navigation) and resized by the end-user. The interface auto-arranges itself according to the browser-width by changing the number of the columns displayed. Simply, it will perform nicely on mobile and tablet browsers. Kaiten can be extended very easily with its API. The plugin is also well-documented and comes with a demo that shows its features. The plugin is included in a new web app platform named Officity and in alpha stage (yet very promising). Special Downloads: Advertisements: |
