SlideNote – Sliding Notes With jQuery

Posted: 20 Oct 2010 11:08 AM PDT

SlideNote is a simple and flexible jQuery plugin for creating sliding, informative notes.

It works when a user scrolls down a specified amount (pixel) and appears automatically at that point.

The plugin displays the contents of any URL and, optionally, it can display only the contents of an element inside that URL.

You can select the corner that it'll slide from and use any image as the "close" button by mentioning the image source.

Create Bundles Of Beautiful, Matching & Free Web Fonts – Awesome Fontstacks

Posted: 20 Oct 2010 12:08 AM PDT

Awesome Fontstacks is a free web application which enables us to create a set of free web fonts which looks good with each other.

Once you select a font, the application:

  • automatically matches fonts based on typographical metrics,
  • optimizes the font bundles for their intended purpose like asking you if it will be used as a headline, as the main or decoration text,
  • and delivers the CSS rules for those fonts and their fallbacks for copy & pasting.

Also, there are 40+ ready-to-use bundles provided by Awesome Fontstacks to select-and-go quickly.

P.S. the fonts are not hosted by the application, rather, it provides the download links for each font selected.
